We are about three months into hurricane season, and have had four named storms so far this season, which have resulted in rather wet July and August for Georgia.

Category 1 storm at strongest
Spawned tornados in Southeast, and flooding along entire eastern seaboard.
Preliminary damage reports estimate about $2 billion in damages, mostly due to flooding due to the immense amount of rain
